- Do I have to declare an Airbnb in Montreux?
- Yes. Letting a holiday home or a room is subject to a compulsory declaration, made with a single online form. Being listed on Airbnb or another platform does not replace it. Questions: [email protected].
- Who pays the tourist tax in Montreux?
- The guest, for each night and each person, in a hotel, guest room, youth hostel, serviced apartment, campsite, rented villa, flat or room, or on a boat in a harbour. The guest pays the host, who passes it on to the intercommunal tourist-tax commission. Second-home owners also pay a tax.
- Can second-home owners get the Montreux Riviera Card?
- Yes, under conditions, for the owner and their spouse only. You ask the tourist-tax commission by letter, e-mail or online at least 5 working days before the start date; the card is sent to the holiday home.
- How much does a visitor berth cost at the Basset harbour?
- CHF 20 for the first day and CHF 15 a day after that, plus CHF 5 tourist tax per person aged 16 or over per night; payment by Twint or cash. There are 18 visitor places, without reservation, for at most 3 nights in a row between 15 June and 15 September and 30 nights a year.
