Who can I call if I am in difficulty in Vaud?
The solidarity hotline (Centrale des solidarités), 0800 30 30 38, free and confidential, Monday to Friday 9:00–12:30 and 13:30–17:30. It is for all residents of the canton: money and debt, domestic violence, paperwork, isolation. Source: www.montreux.ch, read on 3 October 2026.
Where is the social centre in Montreux?

Where is the social insurance agency in Montreux?
The Agence d’assurances sociales (AAS), Avenue Claude Nobs 14. It informs on social insurance rights and helps fill in official forms for AVS, disability insurance and health-insurance subsidies. Does Montreux give extra aid to AVS and AI pensioners?
Yes, a communal complementary aid for people who meet the conditions of the cantonal supplementary benefits, with the option of a reduced-price bus card. Where do people arriving from Ukraine register for S status near Montreux?
At a federal asylum centre, within 90 days of arrival, not at the Montreux Population Office. The centre for French-speaking Switzerland is in Boudry (Neuchâtel). Children can be enrolled directly at the Montreux-Est school, Rue de la Gare 33, 021 557 17 70. The Commune has a dedicated line: +41 21 962 78 75, weekdays 9:00–12:00.
