Getting around Montreux: passes, bikes, boats
The public-transport subsidy, shared bikes, the e-bike subsidy, harbours and day passes.

- Does Montreux subsidise public-transport passes?
- Yes: CHF 350 towards a general public-transport pass (abonnement général). You apply online on the virtual counter.
- Does Montreux subsidise electric bikes?
- Yes: 20% of the price of a new electric bike or of an electric kit, on invoice. The bike must be bought from an approved dealer in the canton of Vaud, for your own use or for a family member living in Montreux. You apply online.
- Is there bike sharing in Montreux?
- Yes, eight communal stations: in Clarens at the Pierrier car park, Gambetta, the Basset harbour and the Maladaire car park; in Montreux at the tourist office, Quai des Fleurs and Petit Palais; and at the Territet landing stage. A day card costs CHF 10 for 24 hours. A yearly pass costs CHF 60, plus CHF 10 to register, with rides under 30 minutes free.
- Where can I pump up my bike tyres in Montreux?
- At four public pumps: the Maladaire car park, Montreux station (bike parking on the post office side), the Pierrier sports hall and the Place du Marché near the bus stop.
- Is there a place to repair my bike myself in Montreux?
- Yes, a participatory workshop run by Pro Vélo Riviera on the Clarens quay, below the Pierrier: every second Thursday evening from 18:30 to 20:00, from May to the end of September. Tools are provided and volunteers advise; you do the repair yourself.
- Where are the harbours in Montreux?
- The Basset harbour, Rue du Lac 143a, Clarens, and the Territet harbour, Rue de Bon-Port. A mooring is requested online from the Commune; boat registration is done with the Canton of Vaud.
